TSGE welcomes and encourages GI Fellows (physicians-in-training) to join and participate in the Society.
To that end, the Society sponsors a GI Fellows’ Symposium each year during the Annual Texas Program, which includes valuable talks such as: what to look for in a job; coding basics; credentialing; and relationship building in your practice. The symposium has been extremely popular with fellows in the past.
This year, ACG President, Philip O. Katz, MD, FACG, will speak to the Fellows about the importance of organized medicine.
In addition, the Society is able to offer funding for fellows from each program in Texas to attend. This scholarship covers registration to the entire TSGE Annual Conference, travel expenses up to $200 and two nights in the host hotel (out-of-town fellows only). Reimbursement is contingent upon attendance at the Fellows Symposium.
The TSGE Fellows Symposium will take place on Friday, September 24 from 1-5PM at the Moody Gardens Hotel in Galveston, TX.
Please note that this symposium is best suited for 2nd and 3rd year fellows (and 4th-tier trainees).
